This passion for golf combined with the drive to make turf better laid the foundation for what Smithco is today. Smithco's first product, the Red Ryder motorized utility vehicle, changed the way superintendents and greenskeepers did their job—they could get more work done in less time. Golf professionals were drawn to Ted’s innovation and passion to continuously improve golf courses for everyone—players and turf professionals alike. Since then, Ted Smith and now his son Don Smith have made sure that between its service and products, Smithco continues to deliver excellence above all else.
