Meet Your Salesperson: John Moore

Smithco is proud to re-introduce John Moore, our dedicated European Sales Representative. John has been with Smithco for over eight years, and is based in Germany. His journey into the turf care equipment industry began after his military service. With a background as an Airforce Technician, John transitioned into the sales profession through roles in the service department and as a European sales manager. His linguistic skills and technical expertise made him a perfect fit for our team.

Significant achievements mark John’s journey in the turf care equipment industry. One of his most memorable experiences was securing the largest sale in Jacobson’s European history. This project in Spain, known as Polaris, showcased John’s ability to leverage personal connections and in-depth industry knowledge to make a substantial impact.

Building strong client relationships is a key component of John’s approach. His technical skills complement his sales abilities. It leads to confidence in clients regarding the products he represents. Addressing technical issues alongside sales inquiries ensures the client trusts in John’s expertise.

John’s sense of humor is crucial in maintaining a positive atmosphere during challenging sales situations. He believes that humor, particularly the self-deprecating style often associated with English, helps ease tensions and fosters a more relaxed and enjoyable interaction with clients. Outside of work, John’s passion for soccer shines through. As a soccer coach and qualified referee, he has been deeply involved in the sport throughout his life.
