Aer-8 Aeration System
Introducing the Smithco Aer-8, a cutting-edge aerator revolutionizing turf management. Available in 60″ and 78″ widths, this aerator offers versatility with pull-type or 3-point hitch-mounted frames. Choose between hydraulic lines to the tow vehicle or an electric/hydraulic power pack, complete with a remote control for ease of use and a battery-charging cable for sustained operation.
The Aer-8 doesn’t just aerate; it prioritizes water conservation by capturing rain or irrigation in soil voids, transforming landscapes and preventing run-off. Tailor your approach with specialized tines: the Turf Quake for lateral and vertical soil fracturing, the All Star for surface compaction and infiltration rate maintenance, the Aer Fine for fine-thin thatch management, and the Coring Tine for top-dressing preparation and dethatching. With variable ballast weight and high aeration speed, the Coring Tine ensures efficient soil preparation.
Elevate your turf management game with the Smithco Aer-8 – innovation, versatility, and performance in one compact package.

Accessories
Aer Fine
This ultra-thin tine, on either 3 or 5 in (7.6 or 12.7 cm) centers, is used to manage thatch between verticutting or coring-tine treatments. Reduces run-off and maintains infiltration rates. We highly recommend using the smoothing roller with the Aer-fine tine.
Coring Tine
A .75 x 4 in (1.9 x 10.2 cm) tine, on either 3 or 5 in (7.6 or 12.7 cm) centers, used for the soil preparation for top-dressing and over seeding, or for dethatching. Major advantages include the variable ballast weight and high aeration speed
All Star
A 6 in (15.2 cm) tine, available on 5 and 7.5 in (12.7 and 19.1 cm) centers, used to manage surface compaction and maintain infiltration rates all season. We recommend this tine be used in conjunction with the smoothing roller for optimal depth setting and maintenance.
Turf Quake
A 7 in (17.8 cm) tine with a twist and lean to fracture the soil profile laterally and vertically to establish percolation. It is available on both 5 and 7.5 in (12.7 and 19.1 cm) centers.
